What's New

Updates to GarageHub across iOS, Android, and Web.

v2.26.0

  • More European VINs decode to the right model

VINs from the Volkswagen group, Mercedes, Peugeot, Hyundai, Ford of Europe, Land Rover and Fiat fill in the model far more often.

  • Quick account switches sign in the right account

Signing in to a different account while the previous sign-in was still loading now always lands you in the account you chose.

  • Switching accounts shows only your own data

Signing out and into another account on the same device no longer briefly shows the previous account's garage, parts, shops, plan or notification count.

  • Rev shows what it is doing for every action

The activity line under Rev's reply now names each step it takes, in your language, instead of going blank for some actions.

  • Reminders and the weekly digest arrive on schedule

Daily reminders and the Sunday digest no longer skip a day when GarageHub is updated behind the scenes.

  • This week loads on the Mac again

The weekly summary pane no longer stays blank after switching to it from the sidebar.

  • Shop plan limits open your shop's billing

Reaching a shop-plan limit now takes you to that shop's billing page instead of offering a Premium upgrade you may already have.

  • Forward receipts by email from the app

Set up your forwarding address and see what has arrived right from Settings, and pick it as a way to start during first-run setup.

  • Tap a fill-up to edit it

Fill-ups on a vehicle now open when tapped, and See all appears whenever you have any, so your full fuel history is always reachable.

  • Edit or delete a fill-up

Correct a wrong fill-up in the web app or ask Rev to fix or remove one, and its odometer reading follows the change.

  • Google sign-in no longer gets stuck at login

A sign-in that finished while the screen was changing left a valid session behind the login page; it now completes on its own.

  • First-run setup now greets every new account

Signing up with Apple or Google now lands you in Rev's guided first-run setup, which most new accounts were skipping past straight to an empty garage.

  • Ask Rev to fix a mileage reading

Rev can now correct or remove a specific reading from your mileage history when you point it out.

  • Fixing a service log fixes its odometer reading

Editing or deleting a service log now updates or removes the mileage reading it created, so a corrected entry no longer leaves a dip in your mileage history.

  • Edit and delete mileage readings

Each vehicle now has a mileage history page where you can correct a wrong odometer entry, delete a stray reading, and jump to the service log that recorded it.

  • Rev no longer creates duplicate to-do items

When you ask Rev to track something that is already on a vehicle's list, it points you at the existing item instead of adding a second one.

  • Rev research cards now finish reliably

Research Rev starts in chat now completes into the card, notifies you when it is ready, and Rev can read the result in later turns.

  • Counts read correctly in Polish, Russian and Romanian

A translation update had flattened the plural forms; every count now agrees with its noun again.

  • Save an odd odometer anyway

When a reading is flagged, the web app shows what it conflicts with and lets you save it regardless in one tap.

  • GarageHub warns before an odometer goes backwards

A reading that goes backwards against your mileage history is refused with the entry it conflicts with, so a mistyped odometer no longer skews your estimates and reminders.

  • Rev quotes money in your currency

Confirmation cards no longer show a dollar sign for amounts in euros, pounds or any other currency.

  • Rev's confirmation cards show every detail

Before Rev saves something, the card lists everything it is about to write, including the extra fields it now captures.

  • Rev records everything you tell it

Costs, labour time, part numbers, purchase details, nicknames and more now land on the log, part or vehicle when you say them to Rev, instead of being dropped on the way in.

v2.25.0

  • The Sunday digest stops going missing

A week's digest could be skipped entirely if the service restarted at the wrong moment on a Sunday — it now has the whole day to reach you, and arrives at a sensible local hour.

  • Parts fits a smaller window

On a narrow window the part details step aside instead of squeezing the inventory table, and open in their own panel when you pick a part.

  • This week loads on Mac

The weekly summary opened to an empty pane on macOS and never recovered — it now loads every time, and says so while it is loading.

  • Counts read correctly in Russian, Polish and Romanian

Anything counted — vehicles, photos, guides, notifications — now takes the right grammatical form instead of one fixed ending for every number.

  • Scan your odometer on the free plan

Reading your mileage off a photo no longer asks you to upgrade — point the camera at the odometer and the number fills itself in.

  • Free plan tracks up to 30 of your own jobs

Items you add yourself now count against the free plan's allowance of 30 — the schedule GarageHub generates for you is never counted, and Premium is unlimited.

  • Far fewer VINs come back unrecognised

The VIN decoder now knows tens of thousands of manufacturer codes instead of a couple of hundred, so a quarter of the VINs that used to read "manufacturer not recognized" now resolve.

  • Sharper service intervals across 118 vehicles

A full review pass corrected the intervals, common issues and skip consequences in the published maintenance schedules, so what Up Next tells you matches the manufacturer more closely.

  • Every new vehicle starts with a real schedule

Adding a vehicle now fills Up Next with a maintenance schedule built for that make, model and year, in your own units — on the phone and the Mac, not just the web.

  • Confirmations read correctly in every language

Prompts asking you to confirm a change or a deletion no longer show stray symbols or raw placeholder text in Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian and Turkish.

  • Schedule-page signups keep your vehicle

Starting from a maintenance-schedule page no longer refuses your signup over the vehicle details the page had filled in for you.

  • Deleting your account gives you a grace period

Account deletion is now scheduled rather than instant, with a warning if you still have billing running through the App Store or Google Play.

  • Export your data on any plan

Settings now has a full JSON export of everything in your garage, free on every tier.

  • A first-session checklist you can come back to

Home now walks you through logging your first job and adding paperwork dates, and remembers where you stopped.

  • Rev's Decode VIN shortcut opens the scanner

Tapping Decode VIN in Rev now opens the camera instead of waiting for you to paste the number in.

  • Add a vehicle from a VIN faster

Rev decodes the VIN and offers the vehicle in the same reply, so you confirm once instead of answering twice.

  • Rev now keeps the VIN it just decoded

Adding a vehicle through Rev used to save everything except the VIN itself, then ask you for it — the VIN you gave it is now stored with the vehicle.

  • Scan your VIN with the camera

Point your phone at the VIN on the windshield, door jamb or registration and it fills in the field — you check the 17 characters before anything is decoded.

  • Photos send in a new Rev chat

A fresh chat no longer silently discards your first message and photo when the thread was still loading — the message is sent, and if it can't be, your draft stays in the composer.

v2.24.0

  • Security and account hardening

Stronger sign-in and session protection, safer links inside Rev replies, and more complete account deletion.

  • Shop share links expire

Work-order and inspection links you send to customers now expire and can be revoked.

  • Shop workspace switcher recovers from a failed load

If your shops fail to load, you get a retry instead of the switcher silently disappearing.

  • Parts picker shows the right parts

Choosing a part for a build item no longer inherits filters from the Parts screen and keeps the vehicle scope.

  • Notification badges update instantly

The unread count on the app icon arrives with the push itself, with no extra network call.

  • Up Next widgets speak your language

Home screen widgets no longer show English text on a non-English phone.

  • Parts total counts your whole inventory

Totals and status counts on the Parts screen now cover every part, not just the ones loaded so far.

  • Linked parts count as installed

Linking a part to a build item now moves it out of inventory automatically, so your build plan and parts list agree.

  • Rev's cards show readable statuses

Tool cards now display friendly status labels instead of raw internal codes.

  • Link inventory parts to build items

Pick a part from your inventory — or create one on the spot — right from a build item's detail screen.

  • Paused subscriptions handled correctly

Pausing your subscription in Google Play now keeps your account state accurate until you resume.

  • Rev accepts photo-only messages

Send Rev a photo without any text and it responds normally instead of failing silently.

  • Chat images upload faster and clearer

Photos you send to Rev are optimized before upload so they arrive quicker without losing detail.

  • Annual plan shown first

The upgrade screen leads with the yearly plan and its total, with monthly behind View all plans.

  • Pause instead of cancel

When cancelling Premium on the web you can pause your subscription for a while and keep your data ready.

  • New accounts start in your language and units

Signing up with Apple or Google sets your language, units and currency from your device.

  • Vehicle lookup matches more spellings

Adding a vehicle now finds the right make and model through aliases, trim words and small typos.

  • Rev follows up when you leave a question open

If Rev finishes an answer after you've left, a notification brings you back to it.

  • Rev understands your car's actual service history

When you ask Rev about maintenance, it reads your vehicle's real logs and mileage before answering.

  • Maintenance reminders now in your language

Expiry alerts and service reminders display in your chosen language instead of English.

  • Rev confirms actions in your language

The preview Rev shows before saving or changing something is now translated instead of English.

  • To-Fix items are now called Issues

One clear name everywhere for the problems you're tracking on a vehicle.

  • Share your vehicle with a forum signature badge

When you share a vehicle, you get a shareable badge to post in forums and show off your work.

  • Share your vehicle with a forum badge on mobile

The forum-signature badge now lives in the share sheet on iPhone, Mac and Android, with a QR code you can post anywhere.

  • Talk to Rev with your voice

Tap the microphone in chat to dictate your question instead of typing it.

  • Rev links parts from your inventory to builds

Tell Rev to use a part you own in a repair, and it tracks consumption across your maintenance log.

v2.23.0

  • Rev confirmations reply in your language

After you confirm an action, Rev's acknowledgement now matches your app language.

  • Vehicle picker sticks on new chats

Choosing a vehicle for a brand-new Rev conversation now scopes the chat correctly instead of asking you again.

  • Photo attachments to Rev work again

Sending Rev a photo — with or without a caption — now reliably goes through on every platform, including large phone photos.

  • Track costs in 37 currencies

The currency list grew from 22 to 37, including Latin American, Middle Eastern and Southeast Asian currencies, with smarter defaults from your locale.

  • Notifications work on new devices again

New installs and reinstalled devices register for push notifications correctly, so reminders reach you again.

  • Mic button explains missing permissions

If microphone or speech access is off, the app now tells you and opens the right Settings screen instead of doing nothing.

  • Photos you send Rev now arrive

Attached photos looked sent but never reached Rev — they're delivered now, and large photos are resized automatically so they never fail.

  • Rev replies stream in as they're written

Watch Rev's answer appear word by word — with a live note on what it's checking — instead of waiting for the full reply.

  • Security and dependency updates

Closed several open security advisories, most of them high severity.

  • Recurring reminders keep their schedule

Editing a reminder that repeats on mileage or an unusual interval no longer quietly clears the repeat.

  • Up Next items open when you tap them

Rows in a vehicle's Up Next list and in the weekly summary now take you straight to the item.

  • Parts form no longer freezes on storage location

Using the keyboard's done button to set a storage location works instead of hanging the form.

  • Shop Mode stays out of the way

Shop Mode is now opt-in, so the switcher only appears once you've set a shop up in Settings.

  • Clearer message when a subscription lives elsewhere

If your subscription was bought on another store, the app now says so instead of retrying forever.

  • Pick the vehicle when importing

The import review page lets you set which vehicle each draft belongs to before you commit it.

  • One diary entry per completed job

Marking work complete no longer leaves two separate rows in the vehicle's history.

  • Premium explains what you get

The upgrade screen now speaks to the feature you tapped and reflects the vehicles in your garage.

  • Starter questions match your garage

Rev's suggested questions now fit what you actually have, including before you've added a vehicle.

  • Rev's longer answers show in full

Text at the top of a long reply is no longer cut off.

  • Rev finishes what it started

When a task takes many steps, Rev now summarizes the work it did instead of apologizing and dropping it.

  • Rev's replies arrive reliably

Longer answers are no longer given up on — they finish and appear when you come back to the conversation.

  • Choose email for notifications

Reminders and updates can now reach you by email as well as push.

  • Get notified when Rev finishes

Close the app mid-question and a notification tells you when the answer is ready.

  • Email receipts straight into your garage

Forward a service receipt to your garage address and Rev turns it into a draft log for you to review.

  • Sign-in screens speak your language

Email, password and other sign-in labels now appear in your language instead of English.

  • A calmer move from garage to vehicle

Content keeps the same width as you navigate, the vehicle opens out of the card you tapped, and loading no longer reshuffles the screen.

  • Up Next and History on every vehicle

The Work tab is gone — what's planned lives in Up Next and what's done lives in History, the same names used everywhere else.

v2.22.0

  • Cleaner add and edit forms on Mac

Form fields line up properly, every sheet has a visible Cancel, and section buttons are easy to see in light mode.

  • Every notification opens the right screen

Recall, maintenance and reminder notifications now take you straight to the item instead of doing nothing.

  • Your week in the garage, at a glance

A weekly summary shows what is overdue, what is due next and what Rev noticed across your whole garage.

  • Push notifications work reliably on iOS

iOS now re-registers for notifications on every launch to prevent missed alerts.

  • Android share sheet reaches the right screen

Sharing photos and files to GarageHub from other apps now works properly.
