What does steering wheel shakes at high speed mean?
A vibration that appears in a specific speed band — classically around 55–70 mph — and is felt mainly through the steering wheel is the signature of front wheel imbalance. A wheel weight falls off, or a tire wears unevenly, and the wheel oscillates a little more with each rotation until you feel it.
